2010年GW、新たなディケイドの始まりと共に、新たなダンスミュージック系屋外フェスが誕生する。

その名は「RAINBOW DISCO CLUB」。場所は東京の海の玄関である晴海埠頭。国際色あふれる美しい客船や東京タワー、レインボーブリッジなどが一望出来る絶好のロケーションだ。主なフロアは2つ。抜群の景色と潮風が心地よい"RAINBOW DISCO FLOOR"とその高台に位置する"THE TOP AREA"。この両フロアに、国内外のシーン最高峰のアーティスト達が集結する。中でも特筆すべきは、ヘッドライナーとして登場する、生ける伝説”DJ ハーヴィー”であろう。ハウス/ディスコダブ/バレアリックのパイオニア、リエディットの帝王、そして...、DJの神として崇められている故ラリー・レヴァンと並び立つ男だ。彼の奇跡の来日は、日本クラブシーンにおいて10年に一度あるかないかの一大事件。既に今年最大のトピックスと言っても過言ではない彼の生のDJプレイを見逃さないで欲しい。最高の環境と音響も準備万端。日本ダンスミュージック・シーンの歴史にまた新たに刻まれるであろうその瞬間を、みなさんと共有出来ることを心から楽しみにしています。

In 2010 Golden Week, with the new start of the new decade, a new style of outdoor party will be born.

The "RAINBOW DISCO CLUB" will be hosted at the Harumi Boat Terminal, a futuristic pier in a prime location on the edge of Tokyo Bay offering a panorama view of the famous Rainbow Bridge. The venue will be host 2 floors of music: the "RAINBOW DISCO FLOOR" with its outstanding scenery and pleasant sea breeze and "THE TOP AREA" in its elevated position will offer an top view of the horizon. The two floors will packed with the best musical talent both local and international among which headlining living legend DJ HARVEY. From house to disco dub to Balearic, get ready for the king of bootleg records and re-edits. Considered on a quasi-godly level amongst DJs such as Larry Levan, we are proud to bring him back to the Tokyo scene for the first time in 10 years!! His return is seen as one of the biggest topics of this year in the Tokyo club scene and is not to be missed.With a unique and amazing location, even more amazing music and you our guests, a new piece of history in Japan's club scene we will be born.

いま世界中にいったい何人のDJがいるのだろうか？おそらくその頂点が、DJ Harveyと言っても過言ではないだろう。DJとして最も神の領域に近づき過ぎてしまった男である。あえて彼を言葉で形容するならば、唯一無二の存在、真のカリスマ、生ける伝説、、だろうか。彼のファンやフォロワーは狂信的なほどまでに彼を崇拝し、あるいは彼を師と仰いでいる。LAで不定期開催しているパーティー「Harvey Sarcastic Disco」には、国境を越えてハードコアなパーティーロッカーたちが集い、聖地として崇められている。エクレクティックだとか懐古主義的だとか、彼のスタイルを単純にひと言で言い表すことは不可能だ。アナログをこよなく愛し、その場で感じたことを心の赴くままにプレイし、オープンリールやエフェクターなどを魔法のように駆使するそのスタイルに、世界中から熱狂的なラブコールが絶えないのだ。これまでに、Pacha、Yellow、Love、 Santos、Ministry Of Sound、Fabric、Cielo、Respect、Deepspace、Adult Section、Mr Saturday Night、Deep LAなど、世界各地のクラブやビッグパーティーでプレイしてきたほか、Calvin Klein、Antonio Berardi、Ted Baker、Burberry、Sarcastic、Levi's、Freshjive、Dieselといった名だたるブランドのファッションショーやパーティーの選曲も手掛けている。

また、数々のギャラリーやエキシビジョンのサウンドも担当し、NYブルックリンの"MoMA / P.S.1"コンテンポラリー・アートセンターでもプレイしたほか、ハワイの「thirtyninehotel」では、クリエイティヴ・ディレクター／ミュージカル・キュレーターを務めている。さらにサーファー、スケーターでもある彼は、"Dogtown & Z-Boys"で高名な伝説のスケーターTony Alvaをフィーチャーした写真展（＠東京、LA、NY）に同行してそのサウンドトラッ クも提供。またWNYU "Beats In Space"、BBC Radio 1 "Essential Mix"、 KCRW "The Drop"などのラジオショーでもゲストプレイしたほか、Red Bullミュージックアカデミーでは客員講師としてレクチャーを施した。

制 作面では、これまでにMo Wax、Nuphonic、Whatever We Want、Southern Fried、Ministry Of Sound、そして、自身のディスコ・エディット・レーベル＜Black Cock＞からカルトな傑作をリリース。また、Jamiroqui、The Police、Ian Brown、Brand New Heavies、Tommy Guerrero、Lindstrom and Prins Thomas、The Avalanches、House of Houseなど数々のアーティストのリミックス／プロデュースも行っている。現在は、07年に1stアルバムをリリースし絶賛されたThomas Bullock(Rub N' Tug)とのユニット『Map Of Africa』の2ndアルバムの発売準備を始めているほか、今年夏に"International Feel"からリリース予定である、彼自身のニュー・ソロプロジェクト『Locussolus』の2ndシングルを鋭意制作中である。

DJ Harvey is absolutely his own man, he is a near mythical character, who's fans and followers refer to themselves as his cult, or studymasters. Harvey's musical style cannot simply be filed as eclectic or retrospective, he plays whatever he feels, as he feels it, he is an analogue loving DJ that utilizes reel to reel and effects all conjured live. He is respected and in demand the world over to supply the sounds for a vast array of clubs, fashion shows, films and private events.

His clients not only include some of the worlds greatest clubs and promoters including Pacha, Yellow, LOVE, Santos, Ministry Of Sound, Fabric, Cielo, Respect in Paris, Deepspace, Adult Section, Mr Saturday Night, Deep L.A, but also such esteemed companies as Calvin Klein, Antonio Berardi, Ted Baker, Burberry, Sarcastic, Levis, Fresh Jive and Deisel. He has also DJ'd at many Galleries and exhibitions including PS1 in Brooklyn NY Contemporary in Manhattan and thirtyninehotel in Hawaii for which he serves as creative director and musical curator. He has re-mixed and produced a vast array of artists such as Jamiroqui, The Police, Ian Brown, Brand New Heavies, Tommy Guerrero, Lindstrom and Prins Thomas, The Avalanches, House of House, as well as releasing tracks on Mo Wax, Nuphonic, Whatever We Want, Southern Fried and Ministry Of Sound and his own irreverent disco edit label Black Cock. His band project Map Of Africa have released an album to critical acclaim and they are about to release a second. An avid surfer skater Harvey provided the soundtrack to accompany original Dogtown and Z Boys Skater - Tony Alva’s exhibition that took in cities from Tokyo and LA to New York. He is loved as a guest radio host on show's such as Beats In Space, Radio 1's Essential Mix, KCRW's The Drop and was invited to guest lecture at the Red Bull music academy.

He is currently gathering material and anecdotes for a coffee table reader book, as well as tweaking the second single of his new band project entitled Locussolus to be released in summer 2010 on International Feel. His occasional parties in L.A Harveys Sarcastic Disco a collaboration with the clothing label of the same name are among the most revered parties in the world with party goers flying in from all over the world to attend.
